Kilowatt (kW)

A measurement of electric power equal to 1,000 watts.

Kilowatt year (kW-y)

A unit of electrical capacity equivalent to 1 kilowatt of power used for 8,760 hours.

Kilowatt-hour (kWh)

The basic unit for pricing electricity, equal to 1 kW of power supplied continuously for one hour (or the amount of electricity needed to light 10 100-watt light bulbs for one hour).

Knot

Unit of speed in navigation, which is the rate of one nautical mile (6,080 feet or 1,852 metres) per hour.
